Fiscal 2008 Japan-China Joint Research Project: The New Great Walls on the Internet – Final Study Session
The final study session under the joint research project between IISe and China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations was held at Shinagawa Intercity Renaissance Center of Tama University. The theme of the study was the “Multitude of Walls in the Information Society”. In addition to a presentation of the outcome of the fiscal 2008 Japan-China joint research on the “New Great Walls on the Internet”, the results of the related research by IISE were also presented during the session.
The final study sessions began with opening remarks by Mr. Yang Mingjie, Assistant
to the President of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations
and Mr. Saburo Takizawa, Chairman of IISE. Mr. Susumu Kitazawa, Director of IISE,
presided over the presentation of reports and subsequent discussions. Well-informed
participants exchanged their views and opinions during the session.
