The IISE special study session entitled “Cooperation of East Asian Powers in the Post-Financial Crisis Age” was held at the Kazan Kaikan with Mr. Yang Mingjie, Vice President, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, a major think tank in China, attending as a special guest.

The discussion was open and frank with attendance of mass media personnel in addition to IISE researchers. With a topic of strong interest in the period of China’s extraordinary rise, the discussion by the participants seemed to continue unabated until it time to close. The session came to an end with closing remarks by Mr. Xu Guoxiong, former Special Assistant to the President, CICIR.
