Akiko Terada Professional, Thought Leadership Division

Area of Responsibility

I am in charge of "Digitalization for Leave No One Behind," aiming for a sustainable society where no one is left behind by digital technology. The primary areas of focus are emerging and developing countries in Africa and Asia. My main interest lies in digital public infrastructure, notably ID systems. I also aim to find sustainable solutions for societal issues. These solutions should not only address immediate concerns but should also be designed to overcome maintenance and continuation challenges often faced by developing countries due to the depletion of aid funds. Through this commitment, we aim to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the systems and strategies deployed to resolve these societal issues.
